About Gaurav Tekriwal

Gaurav Tekriwal is the founder and President of the Vedic Maths Forum India, and for over 25 years he has been sharing the power of Vedic Mathematics with learners across the globe. He is the author of Maths Sutra – The Art of Vedic Speed Calculation, Maths Sutras from around the World and The Great Indian Mathematicians, and his educational videos have earned wide appreciation from students, teachers, and professionals worldwide.

Through television programmes, books, videos, online courses, maths clubs, and workshops, Gaurav has introduced the Vedic Maths system to more than five million students across India, South Africa, the United States, Oman, Australia, the UAE, and most recently, Uganda. His work continues to inspire thousands to experience mathematics with confidence, clarity, and joy.

Gaurav is a seven-time TED and TEDx Speaker, recognized as one of India’s Top Young Visionaries by Indiafrica and the Ministry of External Affairs of India. He has been honoured thrice by the Governors of West Bengal for his contributions to Vedic Mathematics.

Gaurav was featured on “Mann Ki Baat” by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, garnering nationwide attention after his discussion with the Honourable Prime Minister on Vedic Mathematics.

Recently he was appointed to the Apex Advisory Committee (AAC) for Science & Technology Communication – NCSTC Division, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. His impactful work in the Government and Education Sector addresses the decline in numeracy skills in India, enhancing mathematical abilities through various Government projects focusing on teacher and student training under the Samagra Shiksha initiative.

Gaurav is deeply passionate about working with students and regularly engages with schools through his Vedic Maths Clubs initiative. He also serves as visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Prayagraj, and many other institutes of repute in India.

In addition to his academic contributions, Gaurav actively participates in several leading professional organisations, including the Indian Chamber of Commerce’s Young Leaders Forum, the Young Indians Next (Yi Next) – the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry, and BNI Ideal Chapter of Kolkata, where he continues to contribute to learning, leadership, and community development.
